Our team is ready and raring to go as we prepare for this year's Sensory Scramble! Over the past few weeks, staff have been busy planning, creating, and coming up with new ideas to make this year's activities even more engaging and enjoyable for the children. Sensory exploration is already a big part of everyday life at Stepping Stones, but Sensory Scramble gives us an opportunity to get even more creative and introduce some new experiences for the children to discover. Could You Help Stepping Stones Continue Supporting Local Children and Families?
For over 50 years, Stepping Stones has been here for local children with additional needs and their families across West Wiltshire, providing specialist early years support, outreach services and family support at no cost to families. We are now looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join our friendly Board of Trustees and help us continue being there for children and families into the future. As an independent charity, careful financial planning and support are incredibly impo

Thank You to The Kings Arms for Their Incredible Support
We had a fantastic time at The Kings Arms quiz night last Sunday! It was a brilliant evening filled with laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of questionable answers from our team along the way. At one point we were even sitting in joint first place, before narrowly losing the decider question and slipping into second place. We were absolutely overjoyed with the result and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The night became even more exciting when we heard that Sunday Roasts

Thank You Dave, Stuart and Macfarlane Packaging!
We were absolutely blown away this week by a surprise donation of £750 thanks to Dave, Stuart and the team at Macfarlane Packaging in Westbury. Dave has been raising money by selling recycled timber scraps locally for fires and biofuel, alongside making a personal donation himself. We love that mate

Share your views on local childcare!
Wiltshire Council is asking families to share their experiences of childcare – and this is a really important opportunity to make sure every child is considered. The short survey looks at: • The types of childcare families use • The hours they need • Affordability • Any gaps in current provision At Stepping Stones, we're passionate about inclusion. We know how important it is that there are enough spaces and the right support in place for all children, especially those who ma

Schools White Paper & SEND Reform
The Government’s Schools White Paper was published on 23rd February 2026, and it includes proposals to reform the SEND system in England. We understand that changes to SEND can feel unsettling. We want to share clear information and, most importantly, reassurance. What hasn’t changed The publication of a White Paper does not change current SEND law. Your child’s legal rights to support remain in place. What does this mean? A White Paper sets out the Government’s proposals for

We welcomed Sara and Sam from the Visual Impairment Team
We were so pleased to welcome Sara and Sam from the Visual Impairment Team last week, who came in to extend the whole teams knowledge on Cerebral Vision Impairment (CVI). CVI is a vision difficulty that occurs when the brain has trouble making sense of what the eyes see. It’s an umbrella term for a range of visual differences that come from the brain rather than the eyes. Sharing this information gave our team valuable insight into what a child with CVI might experience day t
