For over 50 years, Stepping Stones has been here for local children with additional needs and their families across West Wiltshire, providing specialist early years support, outreach services and family support at no cost to families.
We are now looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join our friendly Board of Trustees and help us continue being there for children and families into the future.
As an independent charity, careful financial planning and support are incredibly important to the work we do. Our Treasurer plays a key role in helping oversee the charity’s finances and supporting the long-term sustainability of Stepping Stones.
This is a voluntary unpaid role and would suit somebody who is able to bring financial experience, good judgement and a positive, team-focused approach. Experience in finance, accountancy or charity finance would be welcomed, but just as importantly we are looking for somebody who genuinely cares about supporting local children and families.
The role includes:
Supporting oversight of the charity’s finances
Helping monitor budgets and financial planning
Reporting on financial matters to trustees
Supporting annual accounts and reporting processes
Working alongside our trustee team, Centre Manager, Strategic Director and Business Manager
We know people lead busy lives, so the commitment is designed to be flexible around meetings and responsibilities.
Joining our trustee team is a wonderful opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference locally and help ensure children and families can continue accessing the support they need.
If you would like an informal chat or more information about the role, we would love to hear from you.
