Mike's Marvelous Charity Music Quiz Hit the High Notes

We had a thoroughly fantastic Friday night last week and truly started the bank holiday weekend on a high note

We were absolutely delighted to hear that Tony Bumstead, the new Captain of West Wiltshire Golf Club, has chosen us as his Charity of the Year. Tony is certainly no stranger to Stepping Stones, and it means a great deal to be so warmly supported again, especially as West Wiltshire Golf Club has supported us before. We’re genuinely grateful to be remembered and welcomed back in this way.

Tony didn’t miss a beat getting the fundraising started with Mike and his Marvellous Charity Music Quiz. Now, this wasn’t just any quiz… Mike’s music quizzes have quite the reputation, and it was a complete sell-out!

Although we didn’t take home the top spot, it definitely proved that the real joy is in taking part (and maybe knowing a few more answers than we expected!). Before things got competitive, we soaked up the stunning views from the top of the hill and then it was heads down, ears on, ready to face the music.

With rounds including Whistling Sections, TV Detectives, and Dance Songs, we surprised ourselves with our knowledge and had an absolute blast along the way. Add in sandwiches, chips, and a beautifully renovated clubhouse, and it really was such a fun night.

One of the loveliest parts of the evening was catching up with parents of former Stepping Stones children. Hearing how those children, now young adults and even fully grown adults, are doing was incredibly special and a real reminder of the journeys we’re privileged to be part of.

As always, we feel so lucky to be part of such a welcoming and supportive community. A huge thank you to Mike, Tony, and everyone at West Wiltshire Golf Club for making the evening such a success.

We may not have won the Rock n’ Rolo’s, but we’re cheering loudly for the team who did! Encore, anyone?
