After a year of planning, discussions and lots of fundraising we were delighted to officially cut the ribbon to our new children's outdoor play area.
In charge of cutting the ribbon was our wonderful friend, colleague and supporter Gill Williams. Gill has been working with Stepping Stones in some capacity; volunteer, playroom team, committee member for over 30 years. Sadly Gill confirmed that she would be retiring from the committee this year and will be much missed by us all.
As Debbie said in her speech, which you can watch above, the vision for the new garden was that it be inspirational, safe, stimulate the children and be versatile. I think everyone present agreed that this vision has been achieved.
Everyone here at Stepping Stones is extremely grateful for all the support we have received in seeing this project through. Every penny has counted and we are overwhelmed by the kindness and enthusiasm of our supporters and the community on the whole. You can see for yourself from the photos below what a difference it has made.
After the Garden opening we held a short AGM, the minutes of this meeting will be available on the Management Committee page of our website in due course.
